SWIM SAFE: Make sure you are seen

Fun, sunshine, beach, water and… SAFETY!

Every year in the Netherlands, about 100 people drown in open water. More often, emergency organisations rescue swimmers who get into trouble. In 2022, KNRM (Dutch rescue services) brought more than 4000 people and 155 animals safely ashore.

There is much we can do to prevent this. Let’s start with having someone watching you while swimming.
